Post Farewell and Setting Apart

Right before we left, we got together with good friends. Relief Society had a lovely potluck lunch and then of course we had to go to Pappasita's and Papadeaux's with dear friends. Ann and Tom McVey came in to town and so it was a great way to get old friends together and to say good-bye to everyone. A last important stop was to go by and see my dear friend, Merlene Cain. She is moving from Champion Forest where I have known her for 31 years. Her daughter was a good friend of mine in high school.

Sunday, Oct 31, we were set apart as missionaries by President Rawson. Our dear friend, Brent Manzel, participated in the setting apart. Then, of course, we had to say good-bye to our children, Davis, Shannan, Kasidee, Alexa and Shannan's parents. We were on our way!
