Our Mission Call
Because we were going to Salt Lake City the first week of August, we told the missionary department not to mail our mission call but to hold it at their office for us to pick it up. Our dear friend, Lola Cook, picked it up for us and brought it to the restaurant where we were meeting her and Steve for dinner. Dave wouldn't let Merle open it until we got to their home. Merle opened it immediately. "Hawaii!!!!" How does anyone say how thrilling it is to open a mission call! And then how does anyone describe the feeling of knowing that they will serve in Hawaii for 18 months? Incredible!
